Hillel at VCU is your go-to hub for vibrant, inclusive Jewish Life on campus. We offer multiple leadership opportunities for students, allowing them to grow their professional skills, learn about Judaism, and have fun along the way.
2026-27 Class and Cohort Opportunities
Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF) Foundations (Fall 2026)
JLF is a 10-week conversational seminar for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. Through this program, you will gain a strong Jewish social network, a guide to answering life’s big questions, and a love of Torah study. Every week of the program, students can expect a free meal shared among new friends, and those who complete the program will receive a $200 stipend. Apply Here
Chai Five (Fall 2026-Spring 2027)
Chai Five is a Jewish cohort experience designed to help you find your people and build community at VCU. Through monthly social gatherings, you’ll meet other Jewish students, try new things, and make connections that last well beyond your first semester. As the year continues, Chai Five members will be given the opportunity to join a leadership network, take on meaningful roles at Hillel, and make an impact on Jewish life on campus. Students who complete this cohort experince will earn a stipend of $150. Apply Here
