Who We Are
Hillel is the world’s largest and most welcoming Jewish campus organization. Here at VCU, we are a pluralistic Jewish student organization, inclusive of all kinds of Jewish. We are committed to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where students of all backgrounds can explore and celebrate Jewish life, learning, and community.
Whether you’re Jewish or just “Jew-ish,” Hillel is a place to find connection and meaningful Jewish experiences. We offer a wide range of programs that allow students to explore their identities in personally meaningful ways—from celebrating Shabbat and Jewish holidays to participating in educational, social, and leadership opportunities. Hillel is here to support you on your journey.
See Our Impact
“Hillel has given me a community of friends that I can be myself with and continuously learn from. Hillel has given me a home away from home.”
Mara Lobley, Class of 2028
“Hillel is a place where Jewish kids on campus can find a second home. Now more than ever it’s so important to have a safe space and a core group of Jewish friends. “
Dylan, Class of 2028
“Hillel was an integral part of my time at VCU. Joining Hillel gave me the opportunity to learn about Judaism in a way that felt personal to my life and gave me a different perspective on what Judaism could be. Now, I get to spend my days with young Jewish people helping them foster their own Jewish identity and create their own communities. It is so meaningful to me that Hillel provides a space for.”
Kayla Seabolt, Class of 2021
